Day 1
Port of Call Gran Canaria

Overview
The island of Gran Canaria is third in size in the archipelago, after Tenerife and Fuerteventura. It has a surface area of 1,532m2 and its most outstanding features are the ravines which come down from the central peaks - which are over 2,000m high - to the shore. There is no other place with such an eloquent variety of little-known scenery. There are desert and sandy areas as well as mountains with lush, tropical vegetation. In Gran Canaria, the cliffs of El Puerto de la Nieves and de la Aldea together with the rugged ravines of Tirajana, Moya, and Azuaje alternate with pleasant valleys where thousands of banana trees grow and which - like the Arucas - gently descend towards the sea. Gran Canaria has not in vain been called a continent in miniature, because beginning with La Cumbre (a 2,000m peak) with its granite masses of El Roque Nublo, nature has provided all kinds of scenery, where plants from Europe, Africa, and America grow (the Tamadaba pine forests, Los Tilos - lime-trees -, the El Monte vineyards, the coffee plantations at Agaete, palm forests, banana-trees, almond-trees, sugar cane and tomato crops). Las Palmas, the capital of the province, is the largest city of the archipelago, a prosperous, beautiful place with 370,000 inhabitants, and the largest port in GRT in Spain. Its airport receives the most important airlines, with flights from Europe, Africa, and America. The capital has the attractions of a large city, with excellent hotel and catering facilities, nightclubs, international shows, an intense social life, and an ample calendar of festive occasions and celebrations throughout the year. A must in this modern, active city is the noble, peaceful old area of Vegueta, where one finds stately old houses with impressive, private inner courts and artistically worked balconies facing narrow streets and sheltered squares. The Old city has the most important sights; the Gothic-neo-Classical cathedral, which was begun in 1497, Columbus House, the residence of the first governors of the island, which is a lovely building housing an interesting museum about the times of Columbus, the Canary Museum, which has the most complete collections of the traces left by the Guanches, the pre-Spanish inhabitants of the islands. Interesting churches include San Francisco's and the Hermitage of San Telmo, which has a Mudéjar coffered ceiling. The Provincial Fine Arts Museum, the House cum-Museum of Pérez Galdós, and the Néstor Museum round off the treasure of art, architecture, and history in the city. In the splendid Doramas Park, there is an area called the Canary Village, a creation of the artist Néstor. It is an expressive sight of Canary architecture. Against this exceptionally beautiful background, popular dances and songs are performed on Thursdays and Sundays.

Lanzarote is the most exclusive and distinctive. Being situated off the African West coast, only a 3 hours and ¾ flight away from London, you will find a perfect combination of subtropical heat and cooling breezes. The cultural legacy of Cesar Manrique, Lanzarote's most famous artist, can be perceived throughout the Island. PUERTO DEL CARMEN, the main seaside resort town of Lanzarote Island on its southern coastline has wide sandy beaches and beautiful beach promenades lined with palm trees, and for a long time has been the holidaymakers' favorite resort. Only five miles away from the airport and seven from the Island's capital Arrecife, Puerto del Carmen offers an extensive variety of restaurants, bars, nightclubs, shops, and fantastic sports and leisure facilities. Make sure to visit its old fishermen's port and watch them bring in their catch. Most of the offered properties are situated within walking distance of the old fishermen's port and the hustle and bustle of Puerto del Carmen. The island is divided by the snow-capped Mt. Teide, the highest peak in Spain, which also casts the largest shadow in the world, surrounded by a volcanic landscape giving way to pine forests, all combined to make Tenerife a memorable place. Maybe it's a nostalgic evening listening to your favorites from the60s0' '70s' or80s0' that's your style or something a bit more lively, such as one of the many Discos or perhaps Karaoke that grabs whatever kind of music you can't fail to find just the place at one of the island's great entertainment venues with literally hundreds to choose from, you won't be disappointed. How to make SANGRIA. There are no exact measures for this Traditional drink but here goes. Put a good handful of ice cubes into a two-litre jug. Next, add a large tin of fruit cocktail or use fresh fruit. Add a cup of Brandy, be generous. A measure each of Banana liquor Grenadine and Melon liquor.Then a generous measure of Cointreau. Overview
Casablanca, located in the central-western part of Morocco bordering the Atlantic Ocean, is the largest city in Morocco. It is also the largest city in the Maghreb, as well as one of the largest and most important cities in Africa, both economically and demographically. The leading Moroccan companies and international corporations doing business in the country have their headquarters and main industrial facilities in Casablanca. Recent industrial statistics show Casablanca retains its historical position as the main industrial zone of the country. The Port of Casablanca is one of the largest artificial ports in the world, and the second largest port in North Africa, after Tanger-Med 40 km east of Tangier. Casablanca also hosts the primary naval base for the Royal Moroccan Navy.

Port of Call Gibraltar

Overview
Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory and headland, on Spain's south coast. It’s dominated by the Rock of Gibraltar, a 426m-high limestone ridge. First settled by the Moors in the Middle Ages and later ruled by Spain, the outpost was ceded to the British in 1713. Layers of fortifications include the remains of a 14th-century Moorish Castle and the 18th-century Great Siege Tunnels, which were expanded in WWII.

According to legend, Sevilla was founded by Hercules, and its origins are linked with the Tartessian civilization. It was called Hispalis under the Romans and Isbiliyabyh by the Moors. Its high point in its history was following the discovery of America. Sevilla lies on the banks of the Guadalquivir and is one of the largest historical centers in Europe, it has the minaret of La Giralda, the cathedral (one of the largest in Christendom), and the Alcazar Palace. Part of its treasures include Casa de Pilatos, the Town Hall, Archive of the Indies (where the historical records of the American continent are kept), the Fine Arts Museum (the second picture gallery in Spain), plus convents, parish churches, and palaces. It has hosted two international exhibitions (1929 and 1992) and is the administrative capital of Andalucía. The quarter of Triana on the other side of the river, La Macarena, Santa Cruz, and San Bartolome, the street of Las Sierpes, plus La Maestranza bullring, Maria Luisa Par,k and the riverside walks are all representative images of Sevilla. For all its important monuments and fascinating history, Seville is universally famous for being a joyous town. While the Sevillians are known for their wit and sparkle, the city itself is striking for its vitality. It is the largest town in Southern Spain, the city of Carmen, Don Juan, and Figaro. In Seville, you will want to visit the old city, with the Cathedral and the GiraldaTowerr at its heart. (You can climb the steps inside the tower for a magnificent view of the City) Very close by are the royal Mudejar palace known as the Alcazar with marvelous gardens and the Santa Cruz quarter, with cramped streets, flowered balconies, richly decorated facades, hidden patios... Other sights not to be missed are, In the old city, the Casa de Pilatos, a large sixteenth-century mansion where Mudejar, Gothic and Renaissance styles blend harmoniously amidst exuberant patios and gardens and, crossing the Triana bridge over the large Guadalquívir river, the lively popular quarter of Triana with charming narrow streets around the church of Santa Ana and traditional ceramic factories.

Lisbon is Portugal’s hilly, coastal capital city. From the imposing São Jorge Castle, the view encompasses the old city’s pastel-colored buildings, Tagus Estuary, and Ponte 25 de Abril suspension bridge. Nearby, the National Azulejo Museum displays 5 centuries of decorative ceramic tiles. Just outside Lisbon is a string of Atlantic beaches, from Cascais to Estoril.

Aqualina: At Aqualina, you’ll find some of Italy’s most celebrated dishes as well as contemporary inventive cuisine. Start with lobster ravioli, followed by arugula and radicchio with prosciutto chips, and a Venetian seafood platter. You won’t be able to say no to these famous desserts: marsala custard, lemon soufflé, or tiramisu. The chefs love to be inspired, so after an on shore visit to a local market, you can also expect a delectable dish so local, you’ll feel like you’re not onboard anymore.
Prime C: At Prime C, you’re in for more than an array of delectable dining such as steaks cooked to perfection, crab cakes with remoulade, lobster bisque, lamb, game hens and seafood. Last but certainly not least, try the mini cinnamon-sugar donuts with dipping sauces for dessert. Expect a marvelous evening in a warm wood-paneled ambiance with stunning views and lush décor. If the chef has made a visit to a local market while in port, you’ll also have an authentic local dish to look forward to.
Specialty Dining: Guests staying in a suite are welcome to dine any night of the voyage in Aqualina or Prime C at no charge. Guests who have booked a Club Veranda, Club Oceanview, or Club Interior stateroom are subject to a USD 30 per-person cover charge in Aqualina or Prime C.

Windows Café: The best way to see where you are in the world is not by looking at your itinerary, but by checking out the menu at Windows Café! The daily themed dinner often takes its inspiration from the region you are visiting. There’s even a live station made from local ingredients purchased in port: Greek salad made with local feta (Greece), pasta prepared with local mushrooms (Italy), fresh Mussels served with garlic bread (Netherlands). Take in the fresh breeze at an outdoor table and relax in the easy and casual atmosphere of the newly renovated Windows Café. Enjoy an intimate breakfast, lunch, or dinner for two or a lively meal for six with flexible seating options. And speaking of choices, selections change daily. Choose from fresh sushi, stir-fry and pasta, salads, smoked lox and other cold fish, a carving station and of course, desserts.
Room Service: Room service is available 24-hours a day. Order from the full breakfast menu between 6:30 AM and 10:00 AM, and have it delivered at your appointed time. Lunch and dinner room service features a menu of hearty soups, fresh salads, gourmet sandwiches, pizzas and desserts.
