Sailing Itinerary

Note: Cruise itineraries are subject to change. Please verify ports and times directly with the cruise line.

Day 1 Port of Call Southampton Departure 6:00p.m.

Overview

Southampton is a port city on England’s south coast. It’s home to the SeaCity Museum, with an interactive model of the Titanic, which departed from Southampton in 1912. Nearby, Southampton City Art Gallery specialises in modern British art. Solent Sky Museum features vintage aircraft like the iconic Spitfire. Tudor House & Garden displays artifacts covering over 800 years of history, including a penny-farthing bike.

Day 2 Cruising
Day 3 Port of Call Stavanger Arrival 8:00a.m. Departure 5:00p.m.

Overview

Stavanger, the oil capital of Norway, is actually a medieval city. Although it didn't gain city status until 1125 when construction of the beautiful medieval cathedral began, the area has been populated for over 10,000 years. The city is an exciting combination of old and new. Narrow lanes and white timber houses are all in well preserved traditional style, from classic style to funkis. It is a modern city with a wide variety of shops, cafes and restaurants. Contrast characterises this city, the people who live there, the surrounding landscape - and the weather! All this makes Stavanger a pleasant and very charming city. Stavanger is also the centre of higher education in Rogaland county. It has a number of cultural institutions including international, British and French schools because of the great influx of foreigners connected to the oil industry and to the "Emigration Centre for Genealogical Studies and Contact Between Norway and North America". The Canning Museum is the only one of its kind in the world and testifies to what has been an important industry for Stavanger. Among the many other attractions are the theatre and the symphonic orchestra that has its home in the beautifully situated Kulturhuset.

Day 4 Port of Call Olden Arrival 9:00a.m. Departure 6:00p.m.

Overview

On the shores of the Nordfjord, little Olden is a gateway to a spectacular ice wilderness of stunning dimensions. Climb an amazing zig-zag road past towering cliffs and tumbling waterfalls to the giant Jostedal glacier--the largest icefield in Europe, where summer skiers zip over ice moguls! Or take a horse-drawn carriage to a beautiful lake watered by the blue ice massif of Briksdal Glacier.

Day 4 Port of Call Innvikfjord Arrival 6:30p.m. Departure 8:00p.m.

Overview

The beautiful Innvik- fjord, an inner arm of Nordfjord, typical of the scenery around Olden, Loen and Stryn.

Day 4 Port of Call Nordfjord Arrival 8:00p.m. Departure 9:30p.m.

Overview

Nordfjord consists of the municipalities of Stryn, Hornindal, Gloppen, Eid, Bremanger, Vågsøy and Selje. A journey along the Nordfjord offers an exceptional variety of scenery ranging from blue glacier arms and towering mountains to fertile valleys and deep lakes, and taking you right out to the coast and the relentless breakers of the Stadhavet sea. The Jostedalsbreen glacier gives the rivers and lakes a special green hue that is found only near the glacier. Here, there is plenty of refreshing water and fresh air for everyone. The noumerous attractions of Nordfjord lie waiting for you. You can take part in some of our many activities or just wander in the sun along white sandy beaches, breathing in the fresh air.

Day 5 Port of Call Geiranger Arrival 8:00a.m. Departure 5:00p.m.

Overview

Geiranger is the crowing glory among Norway's fjord district's pearls of natural beauty. Majestic, snow-covered mountain peaks, beautiful and wild waterfalls, lush, green vegetation and the deep blue waters of the fjord - yes, it really is like something taken from a fairy tale. Take a fjord sightseeing trip and see it all! Or follow the rinds that twist and turn steeply through one hair-pin bend after another up to Dalsnibba, Flydalsjuvet and Ornesvingen. From here you will have a fantastic view of one of the most beautiful scenic panoramas anywhere in the world.

Day 5 Port of Call Geirangerfjord Arrival 5:30p.m. Departure 6:30p.m.

Overview

The Geirangerfjord is one of the region's smallest fjords, but also one of its most breathtaking. A convoluted branch of the Storfjord, it cuts well inland, marked by impressive waterfalls and with a village at either end of its snake-like profile. You can reach the Geirangerfjord by bus or car from the north or south, but you'd do best to approach from the north if you can. From this direction, the journey begins in Andalsnes from where Highway 63 wriggles over the mountains via the wonderful Trollstigen Highway , which climbs through some of the country's highest peaks before sweeping down to the Tafjord. From here, it's a quick ferry ride and dramatic journey along the Orneveien, the Eagle's Highway, for a first view of the Geirangerfjord and the village that bears its name glinting in the distance. There is little as stunning anywhere in western Norway, and from mid-June to August it can all be seen on a twice-daily bus following this so-called "Golden Route".

Day 5 Port of Call Sunnylvsfjord Arrival 6:30p.m. Departure 7:30p.m.

Overview

Sunnylvsfjord is where the near vertical sides of Mt. Skrednakken dive into the fjord. In Sunnylvsfjord, derelict fjord farms dot both sides of the fjord.

Day 5 Port of Call Storfjord Arrival 7:30p.m. Departure 8:30p.m.

Overview

Storfjord or Omasvuotna or Omasvuono is a municipality in Troms county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Hatteng. Other villages in Storfjord include Elvevoll, Oteren, and Skibotn.

Day 6 Port of Call Haugesund Arrival 9:00a.m. Departure 4:00p.m.

Overview

Haugesund is a young and vibrant town with roots dating back to Viking times. It was the Viking, Harald the Fair-haired, who united Norway as a kingdom. To commemorate his achievement, Norway’s national monumnet, Haraldshaugen, was erected just north of Haugesund. As with the Vikings, seafaring and trade symbolises this coastal region. It was the plentiful shoals of herring along the rugged coastline that led to the development of Haugesund as an important hub for fish export and late as Norway’s leading shipbuilding centre. Today, Haugesund is one of Norway’s most popular congress and festival towns. First class hotels and restaurants combined with a town-centre hosting several hundred shops and a diverse cultural life that caters for the most demanding tastes creates a thriving dynamic region. For pleasure boats, Haugesund is a popular guest harbour where it is possible to sail right into the heart of the town, while at the same time it is only a few minutes from the wild and scenic Haugalandet countryside.

Day 7 Cruising
Day 8 Port of Call Southampton Arrival 6:00a.m.

Menus evolve across the year to reflect the seasonality of ingredients and Queen Anne's location. Where you choose to sit (and the time of day you visit) will also influence how your experience unfolds.
