Sailing Itinerary

Note: Cruise itineraries are subject to change. Please verify ports and times directly with the cruise line.

Day 1 Port of Call Fort Lauderdale Departure 3:00p.m.

Overview

Fort Lauderdale is a city on Florida's southeastern coast, known for its beaches and boating canals. The Strip is a promenade running along oceanside highway A1A. It's lined with upscale outdoor restaurants, bars, boutiques, and luxury hotels. Other attractions include the International Swimming Hall of Fame, with pools and a museum of memorabilia, and Hugh Taylor Birch State Park, featuring trails and a lagoon.

Day 2 Port of Call Princess Cays Arrival 9:00a.m. Departure 4:00p.m.

Overview

Princess Cays is a remote peninsula near the tip of Eleuthera Island, about 30 miles across the sea from Nassau. About forty acres of land are reserved exclusively for the cruise line's passengers. Activities at this Princess-only place begin and end at the beach. Swimming, kayaking, paddle boating, banana boating (visit and find out what that's about!), snorkeling, jet-skiing, and parasailing fill the day. Kids have their playground and pint-size "pirate ship" to occupy their time. Explorers will take to the trails to find the Crow's Nest, the Mangrove Lagoon, and the Lagoon Lookout.

Day 3 Cruising
Day 4 Cruising
Day 5 Port of Call Aruba Arrival 8:00a.m. Departure 10:00p.m.

Overview

Aruba's path to the present day is marked by the mystery of ochre-colored rock drawings left behind by island shamans, the enterprising spirit of European adventurers and settlers, and the diverse experiences and traditions brought by the many nationalities that have since sought out the island as either a new home or temporary resting place. The look of the people, the languages they speak, and the innate hospitality that manifests itself in the Aruban psyche are the result of a multicultural mix that reflects a rich past.

Day 6 Port of Call Curacao Arrival 8:00a.m. Departure 10:00p.m.

Overview

Curacao is a long, arid, and generally flat island, stretching some 40 miles (64 km) from southeast to northwest, at much the same north-south angles as its sister islands in the ABC group (Aruba to the west and Bonaire to the east). The island is about 10 miles (16 km) at its widest point, and the area is about 180 square miles (472 square km), making it the largest island in the Netherlands Antilles group. The coastline along the south is irregular, peppered with small bays and inlets, including the spectacular bays and beaches at the west end of the island. The largest bays are located along the central-east and east end of the island, where you'll find the capital and major port of Willemstad. Most of Curacao's 170,000 residents live in and around this historic town. The long north coast of the island, buffeted by constant northeast trade winds, is characterized by rough cocoastlinelimestone cliff formations set on top of eons-old volcanic rock, and weather-beaten terrain. It is generally less inhabited than the south coast, but you will find smaller villages and many of the island's famous landhuis, or old plantation house structures here. The west end of the island is also characterized by expansive, hilly terrain, most of it encompassed by Christoffel Park. The 4,500-acre (1,820-hectare) park contains Mt. Christoffel, at 1,239 feet (377 meters) the highest elevation in Curacao. The east end of the island comprises a flat and mostly barren plain, with few settlements and some secondary roads weaving to and from its coastal inlets. With an average of 20 inches (510 mm) of rainfall yearly, Curacao is generally a dry island. There are few standing bodies of water save some saline ponds, and most of the island's water is provided by a large desalinization plant found on the south coast.

Day 7 Port of Call Bonaire Arrival 7:00a.m. Departure 4:00p.m.

Overview

Over the last two decades, Bonaire has consistently ranked as the finest snorkeling and scuba diving destination in the Caribbean. A major reason for this prominence is the island's diligent stewardship of its marine resources -- all of the waters off Bonaire's coast have been legally protected since 1979, and it shows. But there is plenty more to do here. The unusually steady trade winds that wash over the island create ideal conditions for world-class windsurfing, and the severe beauty of its semi-desert landscape is home to an outlandish assortment of wildlife. Iguanas meditatively toast themselves atop the desert rock formations of Washington Slagbaai, while vast orange-pink clouds of flamingoes drift across bone-white salt flats. Divi-divi trees bend into surreal sculptures of the wind itself, and towering cacti stand as reminders of the Caribbean's diverse ecology.

Day 8 Cruising
Day 9 Port of Call Saint Maarten Arrival 8:00a.m. Departure 6:00p.m.

Overview

With an area of only 37 square miles, the island of St. Maarten/St. Martin is the smallest land mass in the world to be divided between two governments. Its dual owners are the Dutch and the French, who have shared the tiny and paradisical island more or less peacefully for almost 350 years. This understated absence of conflict testifies to one of the island's most precious and attractive characteristics--its unusual serenity.Situated about 150 miles east of Puerto Rico, Dutch St. Maarten (the French spell it St. Martin) covers 16 square miles of the southern part of the island, an area marked by verdant, rolling hills that languidly rest above mile after mile of beach, salt pond, and lagoon. Although the region falls under the government of the Netherlands Antilles and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, its diversity and the strong influence of West-Indian traditions make its culture anything but exclusively Dutch. St. Maarten's atmosphere is a winning blend of Caribbean hospitality and European sophistication.

Day 10 Port of Call San Juan Arrival 7:00a.m. Departure 3:00p.m.

Overview

San Juan, Puerto Rico's capital and largest city, sits on the island's Atlantic coast. Its widest beach fronts the Isla Verde resort strip, known for its bars, nightclubs, and casinos. Cobblestoned Old San Juan features colorful Spanish colonial buildings and 16th-century landmarks including El Morro and La Fortaleza, massive fortresses with sweeping ocean views, as well as the Paseo de la Princesa bayside promenade.

Day 11 Port of Call Amber Cove Arrival 9:00a.m. Departure 6:00p.m.

Overview

Located in the province of Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic's north coast region, Amber Cove merges the historic colonial architecture with the modern contemporary amenities of the greatest ports in the world. Amber Cove encompasses 30 acres of waterfront property and will feature a welcome center with myriad retail and entertainment.

Day 12 Cruising
Day 13 Port of Call Nassau Arrival 7:00a.m. Departure 2:00p.m.

Overview

Nassau, the capital of The Bahamas, located on New Providence Island, and Freeport, located on Grand Bahama Island offer a variety of experiences from non-stop excitement to peaceful relaxation. Nassau is the center of industry, commerce, and communications and presents a special charm that captures the elegance of the old world while at the same time incorporating up-to-the-minute modern features. Here one will find well-preserved colonial buildings, exciting attractions, duty-free shopping, one of the largest straw markets in the Caribbean, thrilling land and sea sports, pristine beaches, delightful cuisine, and unique cultural activities. Beautiful Paradise Island is linked to Nassau by bridge and has gorgeous beaches, luxury hotels, a large casino, and first-class entertainment.

Day 14 Port of Call Port Canaveral Arrival 7:00a.m.

Overview

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to find Port Canaveral thrilling. This is the home of the Kennedy Space Center, where you can catch a fascinating glimpse into the history - and future - of the U.S. space program. Or, take a stroll along the Cocoa Beach Pier; the shopping is great and the beach views are truly "out of this world."
