Overview
The Greater Palm Springs region of the Coachella Valley is made up of nine distinct cities: Palm Springs, Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, Indian Wells, La Quinta, Desert Hot Springs, Indio, and Coachella. The area boasts more than 100 golf courses and dozens of trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. To the east, you can visit Joshua Tree National Park or head west for Indian Canyons. Take in the full view of the mountain scenery on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, which is the world’s largest rotating tramcar. The nightlife is also hot here, from live theater and music to dance clubs and themed bars. Then, find your own personal oasis, by soaking in the hot springs water that the area was named for, and feel your cares melt away with a spa treatment. With an abundance of sunny days and warm weather, this is a year-round destination for fun and relaxation.
