The City of Miami, known for its diverse culture and ethnicities is the largest municipality in Miami-Dade County. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 362,470. By the year 2010, the population in the City is projected to rise to 390,191. Miami which is known as the Gateway to Latin America attracts a tremendous amount of foreign-born people, resulting in a large Latin American population that includes Cubans, Nicaraguans, Colombians, Venezuelans, Puerto Ricans, Argentineans, Ecuadorians, Brazilians, Dominicans, Haitians and Mexicans. According to the 2000 U.S. census, the City has a 60 percent Hispanic population, a 22.3 percent African-American population, and an 11.9 percent White/other population.

Overview
Grand Turk Island is the capital island of the Turks and Caicos archipelago, in the Atlantic Ocean. It’s dotted with the remains of salt ponds and windmills from the island’s sea salt industry, prevalent from the 17th to 20th century. The 19th-century Grand Turk Lighthouse is perched on a rocky bluff in the north. Beaches with clear water ring the island, which is home to wild horses and donkeys.

Overview
Located just 50 miles off the east coast of Miami is the tiny fishing paradise known as Bimini. Bimini is not only the nearest (hence the name gateway) and most accessible island by boat, but also the smallest of the 700 islands in the archipelago called The Bahamas. The island is rich in history and has played host to famous persons from as far back as Ponce de Leon, the Spanish Explorer who came in search of the Fountain of Youth in 1513. Bimini was the first island in the Caribbean to have a casino, The Bimini Rod & Gun Club, the remnants of which today serve as a home e. Bimini is hardly a palm-fringed paradise. Abundant casuarina trees and older homes give it a summer camp look. The rustic bars and hotels that cater to the loads of game fishermen, divers & snorkelers lend Bimini a slightly honky-tonk atmosphere. But the exotic of the tropics is never far from her coasts. Divers are all over the shallow turquoise waters, and glass bottom boats load up passengers to view "Atlantis" off North Bimini's Paradise Point.
