The Hotel tells the story of D. Catarina de Bragança, the Portuguese princess who married King Charles II of England, in the 17th century. At the age of 16 she introduced to the English Court the cult of drinking tea, and the appropriate porcelain to enjoy this exquisite drink from the East.
