Hotel Description
Located in the heart of downtown Seattle, just steps away from Pike Place Market, The State Hotel provides an immersive experience in history, local art and adventure. Originally built in 1904 as a medical office, the Eitel building was later transformed in the 1930s by Ben Paris, a Seattle entrepreneur, to be used as a billiard parlor, gambling hall and restaurant. Almost a century later, it’s been converted into a contemporary, independent, downtown Seattle hotel with 91 guestrooms, the Ben Paris restaurant to honor the building’s past, fitness center and an intimate rooftop terrace, available only to hotel guests, with picturesque views of the market and the Seattle waterfront.
