Every aspect of E.c.ho.’s design is mindful of reducing the property’s ecological footprint. 125-Square meters of solar panels provide energy to light the corridors and public spaces, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 11 tons annually. The high-efficiency condensing boilers reduce emissions by a further 75 tons per year, while water recovery systems reduce water consumption by 20%. A large terrace looks out onto a central garden and a Renaissance Chapel by the celebrated architect of St Peter’s Basilica, Donato Bramante, creating an outdoor haven that feels a million miles from city life.

The Orto Green Food & Mood by Eataly Restaurant: Serving organic food and a wide selection of vegetables to emphasize the Green theme. The partnership with Eataly ensures careful sourcing of ingredients and a close working relationship with the producers. Try the Piedmontese Fassone beef from La Granda and Robiola di Roccaverano cheese (both Slow Food products), and traditional Emilian cured meats from Antica Ardenga. A gourmet buffet of artisan croissants filled with chocolate hazelnut cream made from selected cocoa and Tonda Gentile IGP hazelnuts is available, as well as cakes baked using wheat, rice and corn flour following a "100% natural" philosophy. Try the three-milk yogurt made by a small dairy in Piedmont, a delicious way to start the day served with superb fruit purees such as green apple and apricot.
