More About Cannes
Located in the south eastern corner of France on the French Riviera, Cannes is a cosmopolitan city offering exquisite views of the bay of Cannes. From the Old Port of Cannes, you can discover the Lérins Islands, which are just a short ferry ride away. Although there are a great range of marinas for boats of all sizes, the Vieux Port is one of the most charming, it offers a blend of history and nautical activity, and is a popular spot during the Panerai Classic Regatta, a sporting event consisting of a series of boat or yacht races. Winding inland from Vieux Port is Le Suquet, where it is said the soul of Cannes can be found. Be sure to spend some time exploring the Boulevard de la Croisette, where you can find a beautifully curved golden beach and the Rue d'Antibes lined with shops and boutiques.
Boulevard de la Croisette : A curved promenade that runs along the Mediterranean Sea lined with beaches and boutiques.
Lérins Islands : Take a short ferry ride from the Old Port of Cannes to Sainte-Marguerite, the larger island with historical heritage, or Saint-Honorat, the smaller island known for its Abbey. Both islands offer beaches and exceptional flora and fauna.
Le Suquet : In the old quarter, this medieval town features candy-colored cottages, cobbled streets and local restaurants that overlook the bay of Cannes.
Rue d'Antibes : Lined with more than 800 shops, including chic and fashionable brands, it is the busiest shopping street running parallel to Croisette.
Tour Grasse : Explore the perfume capital of the world where you can tour historic perfume houses and create your own fragrance.
