Why rent a car?

It's convenient and offers the flexibility to enjoy your vacation however you wish.
Renting a car or SUV can reduce stress during family visits while providing you with freedom and flexibility. It also puts you in the driver's seat so you aren't having to rely on rideshares to get from point A to point B.
It's a comfortable and private alternative to public transportation.
Having control over accessories such as the radio or air conditioning can make a difference between a good trip and an unpleasant one.
Treat yourself to a fun or sporty car, or that large fancy SUV you've been looking at.
You can make any trip more special by renting a fun or sporty car. Rent a convertible in San Francisco and drive down a scenic coastal highway to San Diego. Surprise a friend or family member with a ride in a fun car for their birthday or a special event. Go ahead and treat yourself or someone you love to a ride in something special.
Going on a road trip? Put the miles on a rental car and save wear and tear.
Whether you are heading to a festival 350 miles away or driving the softball team to an out-of-state tournament, you can save wear and tear on your personal vehicle by renting a car. It’s also a chance to upgrade to something that has additional features or space.
Sometimes you just need a car.
It’s not nearly as fun as some of the other reasons to rent a car, but you can avoid being without a car due to a sudden repair or accident. There are many rental car locations outside of airports in city locations, most of them are super-fast, easy, and with no line. Our website allows you to book same day rentals should you find yourself in this unexpected situation.

How do I choose my rental car?

Select a car based on what you need. For example, if it's just you, then you might choose a smaller more compact car than you would if you had your entire family traveling with you. Here are some examples of car category types available.

Ford Focus or Similar

Compact Car
As the name suggests, Compact Cars tend to run on the small side. Great for work trips when you are by yourself, or for a couples getaway when you don't have to worry about trying to fit all the luggage and the kids in the back.
  • Seats: Up to 5
  • Luggage: Up to 2

Toyota Corolla or similar

Intermediate Car
Also known as Midsize, Intermediate cars are slightly bigger than Compacts and slightly smaller than Standard. Great for when you need a little more room than a Compact can offer.
  • Seats: Up to 5
  • Luggage: Up to 3

Volkswagon Jetta or similar

Standard Car
These cars tend to be larger and more comfortable for longer trips. Plenty of room in the back for the kids.
  • Seats: Up to 5
  • Luggage: Up to 3

Chevrolet Malibu or similar

Fullsize Car
These cars are larger, four-door passenger vehicles that seat up to five passengers. They feature plenty of space for luggage, more leg room, and space. These cars are a great choice for long trips with friends or family.
  • Seats: Up to 5
  • Luggage: Up to 4

There are many more categories to choose from, including fun ones like Luxury Cars, Hybrids, even Cargo Vans. Research and find out which one is right for you.

What can I expect at the counter?

You've booked a rental car and now you're ready to travel! Here are some things you should look out for at the Rental Car counter when you are picking up your car.

Before You Sign the Contract at the Counter

  1. Make sure you read the Rental Agreement
  2. Ask about any extra charges, for example insurance, optional equipment, tolls, gas, etc.
  3. If you see anything you don't understand, ask the rental car representative assisting you
  4. Be aware that any changes to your reservation can affect pricing

Refueling Options

  1. Pay in Advance: You can pay in advance for a tank of fuel at the counter when you check in. This is the most convenient option as you are then free to bring back the car empty. Credit is not given for unused fuel
  2. Self Refueling: Plan to stop for gas on the way back. You will need to keep your receipt and provide upon drop off to avoid any refueling charge
